We rarely spotlight our own travels, but our recent trip to Seoul was too exceptional not to share. From the moment we arrived, we were struck by the city’s incredible balance of cutting-edge modernity, deep cultural roots, and some of the most genuine hospitality we’ve experienced anywhere in the world.
Our stay at the JW Marriott Hotel Seoul in Gangnam set the tone. The level of service was simply outstanding; warrm, attentive, and effortless. The hotel’s acclaimed rooftop bar, MOBO, offered stunning skyline views and quickly became one of our favorite evening spots, while the high-end Shinsegae Central City Mall beneath the hotel delivered a seamless, luxury shopping experience just steps from our room.
Getting around the city couldn’t have been easier. Seoul’s subway system is clean, efficient, and incredibly intuitive, making it simple to move between neighborhoods and experience the city like a local.
Days and evenings were filled with exploration. From the vibrant energy of Gwangjang Market, which quickly became our favorite night market, to discovering small, tucked-away local favorites. One standout was Bukchon Son Mandu Insadong Branch, a hidden gem in Insadong where some of the best mandu we’ve ever had are made fresh daily—simple, authentic, and unforgettable.
We also took a powerful and thought-provoking half-Day DMZ Tour led by a Retired Military Officer from Seoul to the Korean Demilitarized Zone, offering a rare glimpse into one of the world’s most complex geopolitical landscapes.
One of the most memorable evenings was spent dining along the Han River at Some Sevit, where we enjoyed dinner at Mood Seoul—a stylish, elevated dining experience set against the backdrop of the city skyline and water, creating one of our favorite nights of the trip.
The perfect blend of innovation, culture, accessibility, and world-class hospitality, Seoul exceeded every expectation. It’s a destination that feels both excitingly new and incredibly welcoming, and one we’ll absolutely be recommending to clients looking for something truly special.
Vanessa and Scott's adventure began in Tokyo, anchored by a stay at the iconic Hilton Tokyo in the heart of Shinjuku. Days were spent exploring the city’s vibrant neighborhoods, while evenings brought a deeper dive into Tokyo’s character, from the nostalgic alleyways of Omoide Yokocho, known as “Piss Alley,” to the intimate, vinyl-only sounds of Bar RPM, a hidden record bar that delivered a truly unique quite nightlife experience away from the hustle and bustle.
In Kyoto and Osaka, the energy shifted to bold flavors and a slower city life. A rickshaw ride through the breathtaking Arashiyama Bamboo Grove offered one of Japan’s most iconic natural landscapes, followed by an exceptional dining experience in Kyoto at Hamburg Labo. The stay at Grand Centara Hotel Osaka added another memorable layer, highlighted by its incredible rooftop bar offering sweeping skyline views and the perfect setting to unwind after a day of exploration.
The journey then continued to the magical island of Miyajima, where free-roaming deer, peaceful coastal scenery, and the iconic Itsukushima Shrine—with its floating torii gate—created a truly unforgettable and almost surreal experience.
The trip concluded in Narita, offering a quieter, more traditional finale. Here, clients explored serene temples and enjoyed a standout meal at Kawatoyo Honten, renowned for its expertly prepared eel and deep-rooted culinary tradition.
The perfect balance of vibrant city life, rich cultural immersion, and unforgettable culinary moments, this itinerary showcased Japan at its finest, proving that every destination, from neon-lit streets to tranquil temple towns, offers something extraordinary.
Sara and Troy recently set out on an unforgettable Southeast Asia adventure that combined a wedding, the turquoise waters and dramatic limestone cliffs of Phi Phi Island, Thailand with the rich culture and captivating charm of Vietnam. In Thailand, they soaked up postcard-perfect beaches, snorkeled vibrant reefs, explored hidden coves by long-tail boat, and experienced a surprise beach visit by a friendly elephant.
Vietnam delivered its irresistible allure of lantern-lit evenings in Hội An, the energy of Hanoi’s Old Quarter, breathtaking scenery in Ha Long Bay, incredible street food, lush landscapes, and layers of history woven through every experience. The perfect balance of relaxation and cultural discovery, all at a surprisingly affordable price point, proving once again that Southeast Asia offers extraordinary luxury, immersive experiences, and beautiful accommodations for a fraction of the cost of many other destinations.
